Make a list & stick to it! Don't be enticed by a supermarket's special offers on things you don't really need. Also, don't go to the supermarket on an empty stomach - If you're full, you will be a lot less likely to buy luxuries (eg chocolate)
Try the supermarket's own branded goods. These days, they are just as good as the more expensive brands. There's no harm in trying - at least try it once!
Avoid the '3 for 2' deals. They seem attractive, but if you only need one - buy one!

Save money on your shopping
If, like me, you do your food shopping once a week, simply do your shopping a day later next week.
ie. if you shop on Monday, the next shopping day will be a Tuesday - the week after. By time your shopping day falls on a Monday again, you will have saved a weeks shopping budget!
